Description An artist’s studio is an idea as much as a place, a space in which worlds can be created. Picasso’s style did not require the famous “north light” that other artists speak of. His approach to painting was one of intense contrast; form distilled to its primal state, line and form often being one and the same. He had no need for natural light and worked in darkened rooms with electric light. His vast studio was dark and cluttered, with one window. This painting expresses the idea of Picasso’s studio – showing a few of his prodigious body of work: “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon” , “Three Musicians”,”Bather with Sand Shovel” ,”Dora Maar in an Armchair”, “Jacqueline with Flowers” ,”The Dream”, “Female Face, Profile”, “Still Life on a Pedestal Table” and“Guitar” (Sculpture).
